U.S.M.C. AH-1W Sea Cobras
USS Tripoli, Indian Ocean, 15 December 1992 —
A Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 164 (HMM-164) AH-1W Sea Cobra helicopters lift off from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LPH-10) as the vessel operates off the shore of Mogadishu, Somalia during the multinational relief effort Operation Restore Hope. Four AGM-114 Hellfire air-to-surface missiles and an M-260 2.75-inch rocket launcher are mounted on the right weapons station of the front helicopter.
