Pacific Ocean, 23 June 2006 — The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) steams though the calm waters of the Pacific Ocean during routine flight operations. Stennis and embarked Carrier Air Wing Nine (CVW-9) are currently underway conducting Tailored Ship's Training Availability (TSTA) off the coast of Southern California.
