U.S.M.C. CH-46E Sea Knight

Okinawa, Japan, 31 January 2007 — A member of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Strike Force secures a rope from a CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter during fast-rope drills aboard Camp Hansen. The MSF represents the strike element of the MEU, and its training will help them prepare for any real-world situations they may face during their upcoming deployment throughout the Asia-Pacific Theater. The helicopter support was provided by the MEU aviation combat element, Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 (Reinforced).
